All peripherals are made to enhance the gaming experience. Some do it over the long run, adding a slight benefit over the typical hardware, or offer a significant improvement in a limited way, like a fightstick or racing wheel. Then there are more gimmicky add-ons, the sort that is a ton of fun for a few minutes at a time, and spend more time collecting dust in a closet corner except when friends are over.
The Xbox Wireless Speed Wheel fits into the latter group. The ones where you realize you sold your Wii and Mario Kart, but have Project Gotham Racing and a friend over and want to make the game more exciting. It makes for a great drinking game, no doubt.
Leave the cover off until the alcohol has completely dried, then place the cover again. If you can see the food pieces lodged between the buttons, try to use tweezers to pull the piece out. If tweezers are too large, try a fine-tipped brush like a paint brush or a can of pressurized air to remove the food. Once the buttons are exposed, use a fine-tipped brush or a can of pressurized air to remove the crumbs. After the food has been cleaned out, place the cover again.
See our guide for Button Replacement to repair the buttons. To sync controller to console, turn the console on. On the console, press and release the connect button - this button will look like three, thin arrows pointing left. Within 20 seconds, press and release the connect button on the controller - this button will look exactly like the connect button on the console.
If the batteries are low on juice, this can affect the signal strength between the controller and console. Try changing the batteries in your controller and see if you get connection after powering the controller back on. Sometimes if you reset the console, the controller might connect on the second try. Go ahead and power off the console, wait 30 seconds, and turn the console back on. Turn on the controller and try syncing again. Connectivity issues can be related to a conflicting signal.
Consider turning off unused, nearby devices and reconnecting the controller. The Xbox only allows 8 controllers to be connected at one time. If more than 8 controllers are connected, disconnect the controllers. There is no universal setting for vibration controls under Xbox settings, however, most games that use vibration will have vibration settings you can navigate to and adjust the vibration there.
First try using a different controller and see if vibration occurs. If it does not occur, then you can conclude that the game does not support vibration. Sorry this didn't help. Thanks for your feedback. If there are settings to be installed they should also be included on the demo disc that came with the wheel. You shouldn't have an issue in selling the steering wheel, I recently sold my wireless force feedback steering wheel, The buyer had no issues with the steering wheel atall.
He simply plugged it all in and was able to play fine, I didn't supply him with the original PGR 3 demo disc, Just the wheel, Pedals and cables, He did have an xbox live connection though. The demo disc may have the installation files on it, If i remember rightly that the demo game is all i received with my steering wheel when bought brand new, If your planning on selling it on ebay or an auction site then it would be best to say that you will only be supplying the demo disc.
